AAE EndoCase Overview
AAE EndoCase is a free iPhone application developed by the American Association of Endodontists. It is designed to assist endodontists, residents, dentists, and dental students in quickly assessing the difficulty of an endodontic case. The app helps users determine if a case is within their abilities, appropriately challenging, or suitable for their Board of Endodontics application. It also provides an abridged criteria for clinicians who find the original criteria too detailed.
Users can generate and print automatic referral letters if they find a case beyond their ability, and they have the option to take photos with their phone for documentation purposes. AAE EndoCase aims to help patients understand the complexity of their case and guide endodontists in scheduling appropriately timed appointments based on the difficulty level.
